Investment Casting Tooling
Dongying Vastcast has made one of our core competencies our in-house tooling and moulding capabilities. We can develop precision tools and moulds to cast virtually any part in net weight or near net weight shape with tolerances within 0.002 inches per inch. All moulds are custom-made in our Dongying facility, which helps us to ensure quality and accuracy and reduce the cost of moulds.
Choose the Right Mould
We produce three basic types of moulds: manual, semi-automatic and fully automatic. Each type of mould has its own advantages and disadvantages. Our team considers many factors when determining which type of mould is best for your particular project, including the geometry and quantity requirements of the part.

For parts requiring complex internal geometry, we utilise a range of moulding options. Collapsible mechanical cores, soluble wax cores, or prefabricated ceramic cores are used to ensure that the internal features of your part match your design exactly.
If you require highly complex parts, it may be beneficial to create moulds for two or more separate parts that we can later assemble into complete parts. This approach can significantly reduce the time and cost required to cast parts.
We also offer an engineering service that can further save you time and money on your casting project.
Mould Maintenance
If it is Dongying Vastcast who has designed, engineered and manufactured a mould for your project, we will maintain the mould for the lifetime of the part at no charge. If the mould wears out, breaks or is otherwise damaged, we will repair it and keep it in ideal working condition for as long as you continue to contact us for part casting.

Over the past 20 years, Dongying Vastcast has manufactured and supplied over 5,000 custom castings for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications from one-off prototypes to high-volume production. We have seen first-hand the many benefits of having an in-house tooling workshop and experienced tooling engineers. With specialist equipment included and on-site management capabilities, our skilled and dedicated team is able to deliver first-class custom moulds to our customers.
At Vastcast, our experienced mould engineers and project developers work side by side to ensure that everything is built to specification, which largely avoids rework and reworking of custom moulds which can cost between RMB 3,000 and RMB 80,000 for a single iteration and take between 1 and 3 weeks to complete.
