Heat Treatment

Heat Treatment Services: Enhancing Strength, Hardness, and Durability

At Vast, we utilize advanced heat treatment processes to optimize the mechanical properties of precision-cast and CNC-machined components. By precisely controlling thermal cycles, we enhance the strength-to-weight ratio, surface hardness, and long-term durability of your parts, ensuring they meet the most demanding industrial standards.

Core Heat Treatment Capabilities

To ensure your components perform under extreme stress, we offer a full suite of thermal processing solutions:

  • Quenching & Tempering: Increases tensile strength and toughness, preventing brittle failure in structural steel and alloy parts.

  • Solution Treatment (Annealing): Specifically for stainless steel and superalloys to restore corrosion resistance and improve ductility.

  • Case Hardening (Carburizing/Nitriding): Creates a wear-resistant surface layer while maintaining a tough, flexible core—ideal for gears and shafts.

  • Precipitation Hardening (Age Hardening): Significantly boosts the yield strength of aluminum and titanium alloys for aerospace and automotive use.

  • Stress Relieving: Eliminates internal stresses caused by casting or heavy machining, ensuring dimensional stability over time.

Why Mechanical Enhancement Matters

Optimizing the microstructure of your metal components provides critical competitive advantages:

  1. Extended Service Life: Higher wear resistance reduces the frequency of part replacements.

  2. Increased Load Capacity: Enhanced yield strength allows components to withstand higher operational pressures.

  3. Improved Fatigue Resistance: Vital for rotating parts in pumps, turbines, and automotive drivetrains.

Certified Quality Assurance

As an ISO-certified manufacturer, Vast ensures every heat treatment cycle is monitored with calibrated sensors and verified through Hardness Testing (Rockwell/Brinell) and metallographic analysis.

FAQ

What is the maximum size/weight of parts you can heat treat?

Our furnaces can accommodate components up to 3000 × 1300 × 1100 mm in chamber size, with single workpieces weighing up to several tons depending on geometry. For smaller parts, we also provide batch heat treatment to ensure flexibility.

Do you provide certification and testing reports?

Yes. We offer hardness testing, microstructure inspection, and temperature uniformity records upon request. Certification can be provided according to ISO standards or specific customer requirements, ensuring full traceability of the heat treatment process.

Can you handle both small batches and mass production?

Yes. We support sample trials, small batch orders, and mass production runs. With multiple furnaces and controlled process scheduling, we can adjust production volume while maintaining stable quality and repeatability.
